Are we ready to be parents??

It's at 5-7 weeks to my EDD. As the date draws near, my doubts of whether we'll be good parents become stronger. Parenting is a huge responsibility and till now, after so many years of deliberation, if someone is to ask me whether I'm excited that my edd is drawing near, my answer would be a no. Yeah, I'm really not excited at all and I'm really not looking forward to it. I'm still not ready to be a parent - particularly a good parent. Parents play a very important role to a child's development. We're their role model and they'll tend to follow our footsteps and behaviour. We'll have to watch every word we say, we'll have to watch every action we take as our child will learn from us. But when I look at myself and I look at hubby, I think we would bad role models and I really really wish that our child would not follow our footsteps. How to inculcate a child good values when we ourselves have none?
